When you come to Desaru, do not miss the Desaru Beach. You could plan this attraction at 6-8pm to watch the maleficent sunset at the time and enjoy the comfy sea breeze, soft and whity sand when you walk around. Here you can have activities like fishing, swimming, hiking and boating.
How to Get There: From Johor Bahru, use the Johor Bahru–Kota Tinggi trunk road (45km). From Mersing town, use the Mersing–Kota Tinggi trunk road. From the North–South Expressway, exit at Pasir Gudang interchange (Exit 256). From Kota Tinggi, it is another 57km to Desaru.
Desaru Fruit Farm
When you visit the fruit farm, you will get to brief the agriculture professionals about all the techniques and equipment that are used in the fruit farm. If you visit the farm, you will also get a pack of tropical fruits planted in the farm for free and try some of the free samples that are available there. Besides you could also purchase the fruits on the spot or through phone and online order if you want to.

Tanjung Balau Fishermen Museum
Tanjung Balau Fishermen Museum is also called Muzium Nelayan in Malay and has operated since 1992. Here you could learn the traditional life of fishermen, including the superstitions they followed to ensure a safe trip, the types of boats and rafts they used, their equipment such as nets, tackle and tools. Besides, it also has one gallery that is interesting, the Desaru Shipwreck Gallery. This gallery provides information and stories on wrecks in the area.

Desaru Ostrich Farm
Have a close interaction with the largest bird in the world! Looks scary? Don’t be afraid. They are one of the cutest creatures in the world, sometimes they are shy, sometimes they are friendly, but the whole time they are cute! You could feed the ostriches and touch them gently and there will be caretakers to lead you on a tour and explain to you the stories about ostrich. At here, you could also have a chance to see the baby ostrich, ostrich egg and try to stand on the eggs!
